Gold Award Orientation
 

If you are interested in earning the highest award in Girl Scouting, this is the place to be. Facilitators provide assistance with paperwork and give girls the chance to practive and get advice planning project proposals. Girls will also have the opportunity to ask Gold Award Committee members about the Gold Award process from start to finish. A special question and answer session for adults is included as well. Girls, Gold Award Advisors, and parents should attend this training in the beginning of the Gold Award process.

Girls grades 9-12, advisors and parents

When:

GAO-1: Sunday, November 4, 2007; 9:45am - 12:15pm
GAO-2: Saturday, March 29, 2008; 9:45am - 12:15pm

Where:

San Jose (west)

Cost:

$5 per participant

Min/Max Enrollment:

10/50 people per session

Registration Opens:

GAO-1: August 15, 2007
GAO-2: November 7, 2007

Registration Closes:

GAO-1: October 12, 2007
GAO-2: February 15, 2008

Registration is with the Santa Clara County Area Office. You may register online through e-Council or via fax/mail for this event.

Note:

This orientation is recommended for girls who have not started or are part way through their prerequisites.
