Play
Ball: Learning to Play baseball and/or softball is a great
way to get exercise while having fun. Learn the basic safety rules
of the game, what a properly fitted uniform looks like, how to handle
the equipment, and the importance of paying attention. Find out
about the various baseball terms, positions, and other basics of
"America's national pastime."
National Try-Its for Brownies
- Computer
Smarts: The computer is not only a useful tool. It also
opens a door to cool places, new ideas, and tons of information.
"Be prepared" is a great motto for this Try-It. You should earn
your Point, Click, and Go Try-It or have the skills needed for
that Try-It before doing this one.

Click, and Go: Learning to use a computer is fun. The
computer can help bring ideas to life with words, pictures, colors,
and numbers, but you must take care of it. Protect computers from
food and spills, and keep magnets, which can also harm computers
and disks, away from the computer.
- Smart
Cookie: Selling Girl Scout Cookies¨ is exciting - it's
like having a troop business. And, this business-training activity
can be a lot of fun. People in business often use a "portfolio."
A portfolio is a place to keep notes, charts, plans, and other
business materials. As you complete this Try-It, you can fill
your "portfolio" with each activity.
- Wave
the Flag: The United States of America is a very special
country. For hundreds of years, people from other countries have
come to visit, live, or work here. Girls try these activities
to celebrate what makes America special.
