These earned awards are available online through Girl Scouts of the USA, and are to be worn on the front of the uniform. Please note that we carry all the associated insignia for these earned awards in our local Council Store. You may click here to access GSUSA's Girl Scout Insignia Programs, including information on insignia placement on uniforms. You have permission to download and reproduce these materials if you are a Girl Scout member and using it expressly for Girl Scout purposes.

National Badges for Juniors

  • Cookie Biz: Taking part in Girl Scout Cookie activities gives you a taste of many different types of jobs and careers. You get to see what it's like to be a project manager, public relations representative, accounting manager, entrepreneur, community philanthropist or event manager.

  • The Cookie Connection: Not only are Girl Scout Cookies delicious, but the annual cookie sale also supports troops and councils and teaches Girl Scouts many skills. Whether girls are budding entrepreneurs or prefer to help from the sidelines, they can learn a lot from this activity. Girl Scout Cookies build: Strong Values, Strong Minds, Strong Bodies, Strong Spirit, Strong Friendships, Strong Skills, Strong Leadership and Strong Community.

  • CyberGirl Scout: CyberGirlScout is a badge for Junior Girl Scouts that does not exist in the print world - only in the cyberworld. So welcome and safe surfing! If you need help with some of the computer terminology used in this badge, look in the "How Computer - Wise Are You?" section in the Explore and Discover chapter of the Junior Girl Scout Handbook.

  • Do-It-Yourself: Learning how to make repairs can save money and lead to interesting careers - as girls find out working on this badge.

  • Family Living Skills: Girls have fun with their family and learn more about other families by doing activities for this badge.

  • Food, Fibers, and Farming: Girls can learn about where food comes from by doing activities for this badge.

  • Now and Then, Stories from Around the World: For thousands of years, each generation of humans has passed down stories that help define its culture and explain natural phenomena. Junior Girl Scouts can learn about some of these as they work on this badge.

  • Ready for Tomorrow: The future is here. Are girls ready to meet it? They find out as they earn this badge.

  • Science in Action: Science is much more than theories. It is an important part of everyday life. Girls experience the widespread use of science as they earn this badge.

  • United We Stand: America is a very special place to live. It provides all of its people with the freedoms necessary to lead a happy life. Find out how to celebrate the things that make the United States unique.

  • Women's Stories: In the past, women's contributions to history were often overlooked. Today, that is changing. Find out more about women's roles in history.

  • The World in My Community: There's no need to travel far to find evidence of diversity in the world. It can be as close as the telephone book, kitchen cupboard, or street where girls live. While working on this badge, Junior Girl Scouts can learn about the world around them.
