All staff members receive a salary, comprehensive
job training, time off daily, breaks between sessions, health and accident
insurance, a staff uniform, and room and board for resident camp staff.
Seasonal Staff Bonus Program
Girl
Scouts of Northern California also offers seasonal camp staff opportunities
to increase their summer compensation through a bonus program. Bonus payments
are awarded only if the staff member completes their summer agreement
and ends the season in good standing with the Girl Scout Council (Applicable
taxes will be deducted.):

All staff members who are hired, with a completed final
agreement by February 1st, 2008 are eligible for a $100 early bird
bonus. -
Returning staff receive an additional $100 for each
previous year they have worked at one of our camps beyond their base
salary.
-
All staff members can receive an additional $25 to $50
for certain certifications beyond what is required for their position.
(This does not apply to certifications paid for by GSNC.) Ask the
camp director for information on eligible certifications.

Bothin Resident
Camp Schedule 2008 (B): June 14 to July 19, 2008. Minimum work
days = 31. (Staff members hired to work at Bothin will also work at Deer Lake).
Camp Metro Day Camp Schedule 2008 (CM): June 16th, 2008 to August 2nd, 2008. Minimum weeks = 7.
Deer Lake Camp
Schedule 2008 (DL): June 20 to August 23, 2008. Minimum work days = 32. (Staff members hired to work at Deer Lake will also work at Bothin).

Health Services

Oversee wellness and safety of campers and staff. Manage health center

Manage a leadership team and deliver an established leadership and Counselor-In-Training

Manage the operations of a camp unit and oversee the health and well-being

Unit Counselor ($42-$44/day; Min. age 18 yrs.)
Assist with managing the operations of a camp unit and with implementing
the unit program. Supervise the health and well-being of campers. Camp,

Adventure Counselor ($44-$48/day; Min. age 19 yrs.)
Serve as a Unit Counselor in the specialty adventure programs. Extensive
skills and experience in one or more adventure program areas such as,
snorkeling, kayaking, surfing, lifeguarding, rock climbing, wilderness/survival
camping, back packing, extended road trips, etc. Hiring

Oversee the high ropes program including leading activities, maintenance
of equipment, supervision of staff assistants. Certification or documented

Trip Coordinator ($44-$48/day;

Waterfront

Riding Program

Food Service
Food Service Director ($90-$100/day;

Oversee management of food service operations, plan and prepare meals.

Day Camp Positions
Camp Metro Day Camp operates June-August,
Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The daily shifts for staff members
vary with each position, specific programs or session. Typically staff
members work approximately 9 hours per day. Note: Some positions (*) require
additional pre-camp preparation days.
Camp Metro staff members have the opportunity
to earn additional compensation by working at our Mother/Daughter and
Family Camp programs in August. These weekend partner programs are held
at our Hidden Falls resident camp in the Santa Cruz Mountians, July 31 - August 10, 2008. Staff members will serve as Program Assistants leading
various activities with the participants. Program Assistants earn $38-$42/day
plus room and board. Minimum age is 18 years. Ask the Camp Director for
further information.
Day Camp Administration
Camp Director* (TBD-DOE; Min. age 21 yrs.)
Manage Girl Scout Council day camp. Run day to day logistics of camp operations. Provide leadership with the development and implementation of enrichment programs including art, environmental education, sports, and general camp activities. Direct staff training and in-services. Oversee all aspects of supervision and support for day camp staff members. Excellent organizational skills and previous administrative experience required. Pre-Season commitment for hiring staff and planning for summer may be required. Valid driver's license and clean DMV record needed. Hiring at: CM Only
Assistant
Camp Director* ($520-$540/week; Min. age 21 yrs.)
Work with Camp Director to manage Girl Scout Council day camp. Oversee
