"I learned that if I have the courage, I can be super awesome amazing and FABULOUS!"

Each summer hundreds of girls, just like yourself, come to our camps. Why? Because they know they will:
You will sign up for a group program before you came to camp. At camp, you will be in a unit with other girls who are of a similar age as yourself and who have signed up for the same program. Most of your activities throughout your session at camp will be done with your unit and centered around the program you selected. Of course there will plenty of time to enjoy other activities the camp has to offer.
Your summer adventure at resident camp begins before you ever reach the camp. It starts on the bus! Most campers ride the chartered bus to camp and, as girls in the same group sit together, it's a great way to get to know other campers you'll be living with during the week (Bothin campers arrive and depart to camp in private vehicles). Once you get to camp, you'll settle in your living unit and get to know the camp. The first night will be a special campfire with just the girls in your program. This helps you really get to know everyone and feel comfortable so you can enjoy the rest of your session.
The second night at camp is our traditional all-camp opening campfire to welcome everyone. Through out the week you'll enjoy other special all-camp events, such as theme meals, mystery hunts, talent shows or carnivals. The last night is our final closing campfire where we look back over the fun and events of the session, share songs, stories and special memories.
Although each group of campers has a slightly different schedule, a typical day at camp might look like this:
| 7:00 a.m. | Ringing of the wake-up bell |
| 8:00 a.m. | Breakfast in the dining hall |
| 9:00 a.m. | Unit clean up time |
| 9:30 a.m. | Morning activities (what ever the group has planned) |
| 12:00 noon | Lunch |
| 1:00 p.m. | Camper time (personal time to relax, read, write letters home, etc.) |
| 2:00 p.m. | Afternoon activities |
| 6:00 p.m. | Dinner |
| 7:00 p.m. | Evening activities |
| 9:00 -10:00 p.m. | Lights out, depending on age of camper |
Each week at Camp Metro starts out with our traditional Opening Circle on Monday mornings. This is a great time for all campers to come together, meet the staff and hear about the fun things planned for the week. Through out the week, there will be theme days and special activities for all camper groups to enjoy.
Thursday afternoons include a special guest presenter. Every week is something entertaining and different. From South American music and dance to African porcupines, you'll delight in the fun of these weekly visits. Friday afternoons is our ending talent show, where all camper groups can choose to perform for parents and fellow campers. Finally, everyday at Camp Metro ends with our closing daily circle where campers gather to sing songs, share memories of the day and look ahead to the next day's adventures.
